Privacy Policy

Your files are processed directly inside your browser whenever possible and are never permanently stored on our servers.

1. User Privacy

Quenavo ("we", "us") operates a collection of free, browser-based file tools at quenavo.com. This policy explains what information we do — and, more importantly, do not — handle when you use the site. The short version: your files are your business. Our entire platform is architected so that the documents and images you work with never need to leave your device.

We do not require accounts, we do not ask for personal information to use any tool, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.

2. Data Collection Policy

We collect as little as technically possible:

  • Your files: never collected. Files you process with Quenavo tools are read and transformed locally by JavaScript in your browser. They are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
  • Contact form and newsletter: if you choose to write to us or subscribe, we receive the information you submit (name, email, message) and use it solely to respond or to send the updates you asked for.
  • Standard server logs: like virtually every website, our hosting provider may record basic technical data (IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp) to keep the service secure and functioning. These logs are not linked to your identity or to any file content.

3. Browser-Based Processing, Explained

Your files are processed directly inside your browser whenever possible and are never permanently stored on our servers. Here is what actually happens when you use a tool:

  • Your browser opens the file locally using the FileReader / File API — a read operation confined to your device.
  • Processing (resizing, converting, merging, compressing, encrypting) runs in your browser's memory using JavaScript and Canvas/Web Crypto APIs.
  • The finished file is generated in memory and handed to you as a normal download. When you close the tab, the working memory is released.

Some tools load open-source processing libraries from a public content delivery network (cdnjs) the first time you use them. These libraries are code, not services: they execute locally and never receive your files. You can verify the model yourself — load a tool page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool continues to work.

4. Cookie Policy

Quenavo does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use a small amount of browser localStorage for functional convenience only — for example, remembering your recent tool searches on your own device. This data never leaves your browser, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

5. Security Measures

The strongest security measure we offer is architectural: files that are never transmitted cannot be intercepted, breached, or leaked from a server. In addition:

  • The site is served over HTTPS, protecting the page and scripts in transit.
  • Tools that offer protection features (such as the PDF Password Protector) use the browser's built-in Web Crypto API with industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption, performed locally.
  • We keep our code and third-party libraries under review and update them when security fixes are released.

6. Third-Party Links Policy

Some pages may link to external websites (for example, our social media profiles or referenced resources). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit through an outbound link.

7. GDPR-Inspired Commitments

Regardless of where you live, we apply the spirit of the EU General Data Protection Regulation to everyone:

  • Data minimization: we design features to need no personal data at all.
  • Purpose limitation: anything you do share (like a support email) is used only for that purpose.
  • No profiling: we do not build behavioral profiles or sell audience data.
  • Storage limitation: correspondence is kept only as long as needed to help you.

8. Your Rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, exercising your rights is simple. You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have sent us (such as support emails or a newsletter subscription); withdraw consent to communications with a single unsubscribe click; and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority if you believe we have fallen short.

9. Contact Information

Questions about this policy or your data? Reach us via the contact page or email hello@quenavo.com. We respond to privacy inquiries with priority.
